ATHENS Students at CEDI Inclusive Sports Activities!
CEDI goes international! Last Thursday the 14th we had the visit of the ATHENS exchange program. Students from Germany, Italy, Belgium, France, Poland and other countries had the chance to experience first-hand the many possibilities of inclusive sports as taught by Cátedra Fundación Sanitas CEDI.
During 2 hours the future engineers, architects and sports educators tried different experiences of different kinds of disabilities in a physical activity context. Blindfolded track and field, hand-cycling, brain palsy football, and wheelchair basketball were some of the activities we had prepared.
General good spirit, sportsmanship and fun became contagious among all participants. When asked about how the think these exercise put them in the situation of a person with disabilities, they stated that it was certainly challenging and something that was new to them.
It was a great time and we hope to see everyone again next time!
